What is Agent Banking?
Agent Banking provides limited banking services through a bank-nominated Agent located in your locality.
What is the difference between a customer account opened at a Bank Branch and an Agent Outlet?
Basically, there is no difference. All customer accounts opened through Agent Banking are Standard Islami Bank accounts.
What documents are required to open an account at the nearest Agent Outlet?
A completely filled and signed Account Opening Form is required along with the following documents:
- 2 copies of passport-size photographs of the account holder.
- NID, Passport, or other valid photo ID of the account holder.
- Photograph of the nominee, attested by the account holder.
- Photocopy of the NID, Passport, or other valid photo ID of the nominee.
How much deposit is required to open an account at an Agent Outlet?
You can open an account with any amount as the initial deposit.
Is any extra charge required for maintaining an account at an Agent Outlet?
No. No extra charge is required for banking services provided through an Agent Outlet.
Can an Agent Banking customer get a cheque book from an Agent Outlet?
Yes. A cheque book will be issued to Agent Banking customers.
However, customers are required to withdraw money from an Agent Outlet using thumb impression/biometric authentication. Cheques can be used at other applicable banking channels and locations, but not for withdrawals from Agent Outlets.
