Eligibility and Documentation

- Age Limit: For secure card 18 years and above, for unsecure card 21-65 years.
- Income: Income that supports to get minimum Credit limit of BDT 50,000.To avail credit card facility card holder’s minimum monthly income should be BDT 30,000. But for Banker, Employee of the telecommunication company and Multinational Companies’ minimum monthly income should be BDT 20,000.

Mandatory Documents:

- Copy of Valid National ID/ Passport/ Driving License (locally issued).
- Copy of Valid E-TIN/ Tax return acknowledgement slip not more than 2 years old.
- Letter of Introduction/ Pay slip/Salary Certificate and bank statement not be older than 1 month.
- Recent 2 passport size photograph with clear visibility duly signed by applicant & attested by source.
- Completed CIB undertaking. - All photocopy documents must attest by the source & signed by the card applicant. - Business Card/ Visiting Card and copy of Office ID. - Undated Cheque (UDC) signed by the applicant.

Additional Documents:

Salaried Person: - Original Letter of Introduction/ Salary Certificate/ Pay-slip containing all required information & duly signed by authorized person of the company with Full Name, Designation & Department.
- Latest 6 months bank statement where monthly salary regularly credited.
Sole Proprietorship Business: - Latest 12 months bank statement of business and personal account.
- Copy of Trade License (Not more than 2 years old).
Partnership Business: - Latest 12 months bank statement of business and personal account.
- Copy of Partnership Deed (duly registered/ notarized).
- Copy of Trade License (Not more than 2 years old).
Director of Private Limited Company: - Latest 12 months bank statement of business and personal account.
- Copy of f Memorandum & Articles of Association.
- Copy of Certificate of Incorporation.
- Copy of latest Schedule-X (not more than 2 years old).
Self-Employed Professionals: - Latest 12 months bank statement of personal account.
- Valid copy of BMDC registration certificate for Doctors.
- Valid copy for Permission of Practice for Engineers, and Consultants from Appropriate Authority.
- Latest 12 months bank statement of personal account.
- Copy of valid Land Ownership document (Holding Tax Receipt or any Govt. utility bill- Electricity/ Gas/ WASA).
- Copy of valid Rent Agreement / Rent Deed.
Lien Card/Secure Card: - Mandatory Documents plus.
- Authorization for fund holds instruction and encashment of securities.
- FDR: Minimum FDR amount should be BDT 50,000. Card holder must authorize bank to issue credit card against his/her FD advice and concerned bank officer marked as Lien in core banking system so that card holder is not allowed to encash FD advice without concern of the card division.
- DPS: Minimum DPS amount should be BDT 50,000. DPS receipt to be handed over to Bank and DPS age should be 1 year.
- CC (Hypo & Pledge) loan holder can avail credit card facilities but their last 1 year repayment history must be in regular status. Approved Credit limit must be backed by sufficient security/mortgage which will ensure Branch manager as well as credit analyst.
RFCD/ERQ Account Documentations: - Mandatory Documents plus
- Giving authority to hold fund and debit authority against RFCD/ERQ account as a security of the SBL card.
- In case of other bank card holder ERQ account, card holder need to provide to SBL:
      - Board resolution along with Lien request letter for issuing ERQ card mentioning the top 3 executives’ names for which cards will be issued.
      - Lien confirmation and reconfirmation letter.

Balance Transfer at lower Interest Rate
Only 14% interest will be charged annually on the transferred balance which is lower than the regular Credit Card interest of 20% annually.

Protection

Travel Accident Insurance
SBL Visa Platinum cardholders are entitled for BDT 12, 00,000 for Travel Accidental Death Insurance. In the unfortunate eventof accidental death, cardholders’ successor will receive coverage.
Credit Shield Facility
Besides Travel Insurance facility, cardholders are eligible for Credit Shield facility. In case of death or permanent total disability of cardholder-
  1. . The entire outstanding amount will be waived,
  2. . Equal amount of outstanding will be paid to the family of the cardholder.

Card Security

EMV Chip Card
An EMV chip card well equipped with an embedded microchip that prevents data from being re-used to create counterfeit cards.
Visa Security for the Online Transaction(s)
Verified by Visa ensures that only you can use your Visa card to make purchases online. Upon activation your card, Verified by Visa protects you at every participating online store. When you shop at a participating online store, will receive a code sent via text message to your mobile phone. Your issuer will verify your entries and the transaction will be completed upon successful validation.
Transaction Alert
Whenever and wherever you use SBL Platinum Card, a system generated SMS will notify you about your transaction(s), giving you complete control over your Card usage.

Zero Percent EMI

What is Zero Pay?

Zero Pay is an equal monthly instalment plan that allows card holder to convert retail purchase transactions in to an instalment scheme where card holder pays back the amount over a period of time ranging from 3 to 36 months Instalment without any interest.

Is Zero Pay Merchant Specific?

Yes, Zero Pay is merchant Specific.

What is the Minimum transaction amount required to get Zero Pay Facilities?

All products which merchant offers under this scheme can be transferred to Zero Pay ranging from 3 to 36 equalmonthly instalment by using SBL credit card.

Can the Supplementary card holder’s transactions transfer into Zero Pay?

Yes, all individual transactions done by either the Primary or Supplementary Card holder can be transferred toZero Pay.

How does the card holder enroll into Zero Pay Facility?

To avail the Zero Pay facility, Card holder needs to visit merchant outlet and fill out the Zero Pay applicationform. Merchant sent those applications to SBL cards Division and after proper verification, card holder transactions will betransferred to Equal Monthly Instalment (EMI).

Is it possible card holder can choose instalment plan?

Yes. Cardholder can choose from 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24 and 36 months as the repayment period for the purchase transaction tobe paid in Instalments under Zero Pay depending on the Merchant agreement.

Is there any processing fee or pre-closing fee associated with Zero Pay?

There isno processing fee and pre closing fee associated with Zero Pay.

How many times a card holder can enjoy the benefits of Zero Pay?

Card holdercan enjoy Zero Pay facility as much as the limit available.

What is the interest rate of the Zero Pay?

Card holder need not to pay any interest under this scheme.

Can card holder early close the Zero Pay Instalment Scheme in one payment?

Yes, Cardholder can choose to repay the remaining installments in one lump sum amount.

How will Cardholders’ know if the purchase transaction has been transferred to Zero Pay?

Card holderwill get a letter from the Bank confirming the transfer of the transaction to Zero Pay to be paid in equal monthlyinstalments. Besides, details of their Instalment Plan will also appear on their monthly statements.

If the card holder did not pay Instalment then what will happen?

If the card holder missed the instalment then only late payment fee along with VAT will be charged. After 3 instalmentmissed, transferred Zero Pay amount will be converted to regular transactions.

When an amount is transferred to Zero pay, does card holder limit will decrease?

No, after transferred to Zero Pay scheme, card holder purchased amount will be blocked for the selected instalment andcardholder’s available balance will only increase when he/she made each month installment.

CREDIT CARD FAQ(s)

1. I have applied for a credit card. When will I get it?
Answer: It takes 07 working days (based on approval) getting a Credit Card.

2. Can I use my Credit Card as soon as I receive it?
Answer: All Chip cards are sent in a deactivated state and need to be activated. A card has been sent to you in a deactivated state, you can activate the card: signed on the Acknowledgement slip and send it to nearest SBL branch or signed Acknowledgement slip send us from your registered e-mail.

3. What is the interest free Credit period on the SBL Credit Card?
Answer: Interest free credit period is provided up to 45 days. Please note that the interest free credit period is not valid, if any balance of the previous month’s bill is outstanding.

4. How many additional Cards can I request for on my credit card?
Answer: You can apply for up to 2 additional (depends on SBL card policy) cards in addition to the primary card. The supplementary card(s) can be issued to immediate family members. The credit limit assigned to the primary card is shared between/among the primary and supplementary Cardholder(s) and the primary Cardholder is responsible for the payment of outstanding against these cards.

5. Can I use my SBL Credit Card at an ATM to withdraw cash?
Answer: You will be able to withdraw cash at an ATM, provided the withdrawal amount is within your cash withdrawal limit. Cash withdrawal limit is communicated to you at the time of delivery of the card and is also indicated in your monthly card statement.

6. What is the Insurance facilities provided by SBL Credit Card(s)?
Answer: Protecting you and your Family from any unforeseen consequences due to loss of your life or permanent total disability at the time of emergency. Your family need not to be burdened by the outstanding amount left in your credit card, however, will enjoy other benets that linked with Credit Shield protection.

In addition to the above, the VISA Gold Cardholders will also enjoy a valuable Accidental Death coverage of BDT600, 000. For VISA Platinum Cardholders this benet is BDT1, 200,000.

7. What is the minimum monthly repayment on my SBL Credit Card?
Answer: Your monthly payment should cover at least the minimum amount due. Minimum Payment Due (MPD) is the sum of 5% of the total payment due and the previous month’s minimum due amount and over limit amount (if any).

8. How do I pay my Credit-card bill?
Answer: You can pay o your credit card bill by payment cheque/cash/ provide auto debit instruction from your SBL CASA account. Moreover, you can use SBL internet banking and pay o your credit card bill.

9. How do I update my personal details address?
Answer: To update your personal information either you can visit your nearest SBL branch (es) or send us your request including your signature to execute the same from your registered email.

10. Can I use my Credit Card for expenses on E- Commerce?
Answer: Yes, You can use your dual currency card for the purchase of legitimate goods and services but not more than USD 300 in a month. Beside these, Hotel Booking, Medical purpose. Conference fees, Indian Visa Fees and educational fees can be paid by your credit card.

11. What should I do if my Card is lost or damaged?
Answer: Inform SBL Card Customer Service immediately and request to block the lost card. They will block your lost card instantly and a new card will be delivered to you within three working days upon written request received at card division.

12. How long does it take for a Cheque payment to clear on my credit card?
Answer: Your cheque payment deposited will takes maximum 3 working days to reect in your card account.

13. Will I automatically receive a new SBL Credit Card, if my existing Credit Card is about to expire?
Answer: Yes, you will receive a new SBL Credit Card within 5 working days prior to expiry of the Credit card. Card which is in blocked state will not renew.

14. How can I increase my Credit limit?
Answer: You can apply for an increase in credit limit by lling up the ‘Credit Limit Enhancement Form’ and provide necessary documents with the credit limit enhancement form. In such case, SBL request you for nancial documents and SBL has its sole discretion approve or decline the request.

15. What if I Cross my credit limit?
Answer: If you make a transaction that exceeds your approved Credit limit then an over-limit fee will be imposed into card account.

16. When do I start paying interest on new purchases if I am already revolving Credit?
Answer: If you are revolving credit receiver, fresh purchases attract interest from their respective dates of purchase.

17. When will the interest Charge stop?
Answer: If all outstanding charges are paid at any time, the interest charges will cease to apply immediately.

18. What happens if my Cheque gets delayed in the post beyond the payment due date?
Answer: If your payment is not received by the Payment Due Date, a late fee is applicable and the outstanding amount attracts interest for the number of days by which the payment has been delayed.

19. What happens if I pay more than the total amount due?
Answer: The excess amount shows up in your monthly statement and is adjusted against future purchases.

20. What happens in the case of a disputed card transaction?
Answer: In case of a disputed card transaction, provide us your request including transaction details and signature. In this case VISA/NPSB guidelines will be followed.

21. What happens if I lost my Card/Cheque/PIN?
Answer: If you lost Card/Cheque/PIN get in touch with the bank as soon as possible. Provide us written application for Card/Cheque/PIN replacement, the bank will replace your Card/Cheque/PIN and issue a Card/Cheque/PIN. This replacement process comes at a cost and gets billed in your next statement.
